With the introduction of the 2.0 rollout, there are several new features and interactive ways to engage with your channel!

Points System
Whether it's giveaways, death polls or even making me get up and dance on camera (DanceCam) - everything will be managed via our newly released points system. For every minute you watch the stream, while logged in, you will earn one point (1p). No matter if you're a member or not - EVERYONE will earn points for tuning in and watching the stream. That said, paying subscribers from the techandjunk Patreon (patreon.com/techandjunk), will earn an additional monthly allowance of points, given every 5th of the month. Each membership level will have a progressively higher allowance. They will be as shown:
- MEMBER (500p)
- BRONZE MEMBER (2500p)
- SILVER MEMBER (5000p)
- GOLD MEMBER (10000p)
- LEGENDARY MEMBER (20000p)
To thank our Founding Members, those subscribed before 2.0 launches will get an initial one-time 50% bonus to their respective member allowances with permanent 10% bonus for as long as they remain enrolled. Thank you again to all members!
Now for the fun part! What you'll be spending all those points on!
- GIVEAWAYS
- Giveaways will now be managed by a raffle system, with tickets costing 50p each. The maximum number of entries will be limited to 25 per giveaway. (1250p)
- BETTING
- New Scenarios I create in-game will now be open for you to bet on the outcomes. For example, the Death Polls in ESO we know and love will now be the Death Games. Maximum bets will be limited to 500p.
- DANCECAM
- For 50000p, you'll be able to have me dance on camera for 30 seconds.
- SINGCAM
- For 30000p, you'll be able to have me sing on camera, badly for 30 seconds.
- CHOOSING THE GAME FOR "WEIRD WEDNESDAY"
- For 60000p, you'll be able to pick the game I stream on a Weird Wednesday. *(There are some restrictions)*
- CHOOSING THE GAME FOR AN OFF-STREAM COMMUNITY EVENT
- For 100000p, you'll be able to pick the game and help plan the scenario for an Off-Stream Community Event. *(There are some restrictions)*

Onscreen Alerts
The presentation of the channel is something I've passionately crafted and fastidiously critiqued. From everyone's feedback, I've received two clear messages: Keep the UI clean and uncluttered AND allow our interactions with the channel to be seen. Striking a balance between minimalism and interactivity is something I've spent an ungodly amount of time on but I feel I have found the best way forward. Expect Alerts for Follows, Donations and the like to make an appearance but not a permanent nor distracting one onscreen. The TwitchAlerts platform will carry the majority of the weight of this endeavor. Look forward to seeing the new look soon!
No More Blue-Screen
The dreaded Blue-Screen we love to hate, will no longer be a thing. Up until the launch of 2.0, every Friend-Invite, every cursory glance at the home screen, every server drop - has resulted in a placeholder Blue-Screen or even the stream itself shutting down completely. NO MORE! With the move to OBS, every transition will be viewable, every invite understandable and every server drop not insurmountable! HUZZAH!
Intro/Outro Video + Countdown to Online
A while back, with the help of the one and only Nuno Bettencourt, we created an original intro/outro video with our very own original techandjunk jingle. With the release of 2.0, you'll be seeing this cool piece of work at the beginning and end of every stream, as well as in other techandjunk productions i.e. JunkTalk. In addition, to combat the sad reality of Twitch's notifications being unreliable, a countdown to online placeholder will engage in the beginning of the stream to give time for everyone come to the channel! It's a small but important touch that I wanted to make sure to include - I hope you enjoy it!
Guaranteed 15% of Budget to Giveaways
I want to create content for you, my audience and friends, full-time all of the time. As the channel grows, as the budget grows to finance the creation of new content and my unwavering focus on all things techandjunk - I want to make a pledge to you. 15% of every monetary donation and pledge will be allocated for in-stream giveaways. This means that as we grow together, so do the prizes and so does the fun. I've been asked several times if I want to make a living out of this, and the answer is: I do. I love it and I can't imagine wanting to do anything else. That said, there is a difference between supporting myself and the channel - with that of profiting off of people's kindness who have become so dear to me, so quickly. So to conclude on this topic, let me say this:
